Black Mountain Ranch Estates in Conifer

Black Mountain Ranch Estates was named for the mountain just west of the subdivision of the same name. Black Mountain Ranch Estates is comprised of several filings (6) along the side of Black Mountain which is accessed from Shadow Mountain Road in Conifer or Brook Forest Road in Evergreen. Shadow Mountain Road begins at Highway 73 and the south Entrance to Flying J Ranch Open Space.

Homes in Black Mountain Ranch Estates are typically on just over an acre although it is not uncommon for one owner to own several adjacent parcels to increase the yard size considerably. Homes here range in elevation from 8600 up to the high points along Black Widow Road and So. Greening Drive which get very close to 9,000 feet. This community has a varied range of home values which start in the low $200’s and can be as high as the high $500’s. Immediately to the east of Black Mountain Ranches is Evergreen Meadows West both communities are frequently, mistakenly referred to as Shadow Mountain and although Shadow Mountain Road runs between the two Shadow Mountain Estates is a much smaller subdivision of larger acreage just southeast of Black Mountain Ranches on Forest Shadow Trail.

Perhaps the most widely appreciated aspects of Black Mountain Ranch Estates are the densely treed mountain setting and the fact that many of the homes have direct access to the Arapahoe National Forest adjacent to the west.
