Conifer Aspen Leaf Changing is at the Peak of Color!

My parents were visiting from New Hampshire this past week and I had an opportunity to play tour guide. I took them a few miles southwest of Conifer to Kenosha Pass where US 285 and the Colorado Trail intersect. This is a classic viewing area to take in the huge Aspen Groves and the bright yellow mountains. Take a look at this very short video to see what it looked like two days before yesterday’s snowstorm.

Well, as luck would have it; the day before their flight Conifer got hit with a summer snow storm!  I don’t even have my plow on the truck yet and they rented a convertible for the trip!  This video was shot just west of Belle Meade.
