My wife, Alisa, and I were having a date night dinner the other night at Sushi Hai and ran in to an old friend. It turns out that Gino is back from the high seas where he was a chef to the rich and famous on cruise ships. Gino, previously was the chef of Mandolina’s, the now defunct Italian restaurant once located at Conifer Crossing—the building formerly known as Olde Glory. Anyway, we were excited to see him back and to learn that he is now the general manager for two of our favorite restaurants in Conifer. Although we had already settled up for our dinner bill, Gino gave us a handful of 20% off coupons for Sushi Hai and Lucilles Steakhouse.
Well, real estate, being the way it is now days—we don’t get out to eat as much as we once did and we won’t get a chance to use them before they expire on August 31, 2009. As of this writing I have 9 of these coupons left! Well, I’m afraid to say that it looks like the plug was finally pulled on Lucille’s of Jersey and Sushi Hai in Conifer. So, at least for now the closest Sushi in Conifer–is Safeway ;-)
